Program Materials

The Picture Parent Program includes:

1. A Teaching Manual ($35)
The 37-page teaching manual clearly outlines the steps needed to create a successful program. Topics include how to get started, where to order prints, records to keep, what every volunteer needs to know, pitfalls to guard against, which artists to include, a mini-art text and ideas to personalize the PPP in your school.

2. Art Presentation Guide ($16)
This guide is a mini-art text for planning a presentation. It includes 23 pages of understandable art information, over 50 possible questions to ask students, and useful information for classroom volunteers. One per volunteer is suggested.

3. Artist Folders ($10; school discounts available)
Each folder includes information on a single artist: his/her life, painting style, technique and other interesting facts grade school children will find fascinating. "Ideas For Presentation" and "Bibliography" are also included. Some may also include color copies of art prints. The folders are for presentations to students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Each folder represents a single presentation at any grade level.
